Mission Tour November 2011

Elder Golden of the First Quorum of Seventy
and his lovely wife came to tour the mission in November.
We had the privilege of hosting them in our home
so we were able to really get to know them.
What wonderful people!
One of the great blessings of our mission
has been our close association with
such amazing people.
Despite their tremendous responsibilities
they are loving, down-to-earth,
family centered folks
and by the time they left we felt so close to them.
Our tour began with three Zone Conferences
including two Zones in each
so that every single missionary would have the
opportunity to be taught by them.
Oh, they were so wonderful
and we were all uplifted and motivated as never before!

Each Zone got to have their picture taken with the two of them.

What a fun keepsake.

It was then our privilege to take them around

to some of the sites here in Omaha.

We called upon one of our resident historians,

Elder Scott,

to give them an official tour.

Elder Scott is very knowledgeable

and we all learned many new things about 

our great Mormon pioneers.

I know one of the highlights of their visit was the Trail Center Tour

given by one of our sweet sisters.

What a lovely week, with many wonderful memories.

and the examples you are of true believers

of the Lord's gospel.
