Home to Idaho

Goodbye to two
of the most lovely people you could ever meet,
Elder and Sister Davis.
They have been with us for two years,
(the better part of our mission)
and I already feel lonely for them.
Beautiful Sister Davis reminds me of my
sweet Grandma Adee.
Elder Davis in his quiet way is a pillar
of strength and testimony.
Both have made tremendous contributions
to the Lord's work here in Omaha.
They both served in the Trail Center,
the Kanesville Tabernacle and
the Winter Quarters Temple.
They have given their hearts to the work
and many have been blessed by their efforts.
They will be greatly missed.

Chick-fil-A

Everyone in the entire mission knows
that President Kunz's
favorite fast food restaurant is none other than
CHICK-FIL-A!
Up till now he had to go to Sioux City to find one
which made zone conferences, interviews
or anything else up there all the better!
BUT...
Chick-fil-A has now come to Omaha.
I don't know who bought the franchise rights
but he'll do very well I'm sure.

"One chicken sandwich with extra pickles
and an order of waffle fries to go, please..."

2012

Another amazing year
gone,
over,
never to be recaptured.

I don't mean that in a negative way...
I just mean that
whatever it was, it will stand as is
and
we will account for each passing moment.

Looking at it that way makes me reflect
on how this new year must be different.
We must move forward, progress and change;
do better than we did before.
This new year must surpass the last-
no matter what happened last year.
That is our Father in Heaven's plan for us.
This year we must be better people,
better neighbors and better disciples of Christ.

Here's to 2012!
The best year of our lives!

Blessing...

What a blessing
this beautiful little family
is to us.

Ola and Bonjour!

Four great young men just arrived from the MTC.
All are waiting for visas to clear
and will be serving in NOM until then.
There is much of the Lord's work to be done here
and much they can learn.
We hope this time will always hold fond memories
of their "first" mission.

December Hellos and Goodbyes

Hello to nine wonderful young missionaries,
who arrived right before Christmas.
Each one ready to spend the holiday
teaching the true reason for the season.
Then...
goodbye to ten of our experienced missionaries.
The best of the best and we love them all.

Be happy and please keep in touch!!!!

Making Memories

Another surprise outing...

first to the Durham Museum...

with its giant Christmas Tree...

onto Zeos Pizza where we have them make a calzone,
but we put all the stuff on it that belongs
on a stromboli and take off
all the stuff that belongs on a calzone.
Thats the only way we can have a stromboli outside of PA.

then to open-air ice skating
which the kids ended up really enjoying.

Fun day...fun memories.
