The Trail Center sisters created and performed
a beautiful tribute to the pioneers.
Originally it was going to be in the park just below the Trail Center
but because of rain it was moved indoors
which actually worked out even better.
The acoustics were great,
we had plenty of outlets,
we had the Walter Rane pictures all around us,
and everyone stayed around afterwards to talk and take tours.
The Sisters did an incredible job and we were so proud of them.
We just can't get over the remarkably talented young women
we have in this mission.
The first song was written and composed by one of the sisters
and sung by three others, each telling the story of different pioneers
and why they joined the church and moved west.
They told of the hardships endured
and the great sacrifices made.
It was lovely.
There were lots of fun songs that made you want
to tap your feet and sing along.
We saw a side of the sisters we had never seen before,
each of them enthusiastically enjoying their music.
There were very tender hymns sung in perfect harmony.
It turned out to be an amazing program which they plan on performing
many more times in the future
to remind people of the wonderful heritage we have
not only as members of the church
but also in this area of the country.
Thanks Sisters, you are amazing!
